1.Using the projector

Start of the lecture

  1. Start the stationairy PC (or your own) and log in
  2. Point the remote control to the projector and press the on button (top left). The projector will boot up, this may take a few seconds.
  3. The projector will search for the correct source automatically. Important: The device must be switched on and you must be logged in so that the projector can recognize the device as a source.

After the lecture

  1. Shut down the laptop/your own device
  2. Point the remote control at the projector and press the off button (top right).
  3. Press the off button a second time. Only now will the projector shut down. This prompt can also be seen on the screen:

 2. Using the speakers

There are two large speakers in this room that need to be switched on separately. The toggle switches for this are located underneath each speaker. If they are switched on, they are automatically connected. ⚠️Please switch the speakers off again after use⚠️

3. troubleshooting

If problems occur, first try to find out where the problem lies. Go through the instructions again step by step and check that all the necessary steps have been taken. If you are using your own device, also try whether the problem occurs with the stationary PC aswell (if there are no problems, use the stationairy PC). If none of this helps, write an email to it-support[at]psychologie.uni-heidelberg.de describing the problem as thoroughly as possible. Include pictures if necessary. ⚠️A detailed description of the problem and the situation is essential so that we can solve the problem.⚠️

Note: Do you still have questions about operation? Write us an email with a request for a technical introduction. If you have any suggestions for improving this guide, please send an email to it-support[at]psychologie.uni-heidelberg.de with the subject “Suggestion Knowledgebase lecture halls”. Thank you very much!
