Welcome to the Outpatient Clinic for Research and Teaching

Our outpatient clinic is part of the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (Chair holder: Prof. Dr. Sven Barnow). Our therapeutic team consists of licensed psychological psychotherapists. We offer comprehensive diagnostic and psychotherapeutic help. As a university institution, it is our concern to carry out scientific research as well as to develop and refine therapeutic concepts in addition to therapeutic offers. The focus here is on concepts of emotion perception and regulation.

Qualified psychotherapeutic care for patients

• Application of scientifically based psychotherapy methods (behavioural therapy and depth psychology)
• Counselling and therapy by licensed psychological psychotherapists
• Quality assurance through regular supervision and evaluation by means of comprehensive diagnostics during the course of treatment

Teaching and training

• Cooperation with psychotherapists in advanced stages of training to become psychological psychotherapists
• Practical seminars for psychology students
• Organisation of further training events

• Linking current research findings and practical therapeutic work
• Development of new therapy concepts
