Improvement of transfers at computer-based diagnosis trainings through constructivist instructional design

In this research project we will develop tutorial components for a computer-based diagnosis training for dysfunction diagnoses in automated technical systems on the basis of constructivist instructional theories. Especially the transfer of the diagnostic strategies that are to be learned should be enhanced.

Our main focus will be on the development of adaptive tutorial helps that instruct and support a diagnostic approach though expert-assisted cognitive modelling and situation-based coaching. These tutorial helps should also include requests to articulate and deliberate the diagnostic mental and practical activities.
