Forschungsfokus

Im Mittelpunkt meines Forschungsinteresses steht der Zusammenhang zwischen kognitiver Kontrolle, (flexibler) Emotionsregulation und Psychopathologie (z.B. depressive Symptome), erfasst mittels Selbstbericht, physiologischen und neurobildgebenden Verfahren, EMA (ecological momentary assessment) sowie experimentellen Paradigmen. Das Ziel ein präziseres Verständnis der Mechanismen der (flexiblen) Emotionsregulation, sowie deren physiologische und neuronale Korrelate.

Für den Frontier-Antrag (DFG Exzellenzinitiative) „Winter is coming - Deciphering the precursors of depressive symptoms using its naturally occurring fluctuations during the seasons“ mit A. Miano und S. Barnow wurden 2017 Forschungsgelder in Höhe von 84.182 € bewilligt. In dieser Längsschnittstudie werden die kausalen Zusammenhänge zwischen Emotionsregulation, kognitiven Funktionen und depressiven Symptomen an 5 unterschiedlichen Zeitpunkten im Verlauf vom Sommer 2018 zum Winter 2019 untersucht.

Für den Field of Focus 4-Antrag (DFG Exzellenzinitiative) "Uncovering the contextual dynamics of emotional self-regulation: A multi-method approach" mit D. Holt, L. Prüßner, J. Holl, Dr. C. Aguilar-Raab wurden 2018 Forschungsgelder in Höhe von 10.000 € bewilligt. In diesen Forschungsprojekt wird der Zusammenhang zwischen kognitiven Prozessen und Emotionsregulation bzw. Emotionsregulationsflexibilität (experimentell, habituell und durch Ecological Momentary Assessment erfasst) untersucht.
