Abstract
Need for Cognitive Closure (NFCC) describes the interpersonal difference in the tendency to reach closure when indivduals are confronted with ambiguous and cognitively challenging situations. This can manifest in cognitive domains such as decision-making processes, as well as in behavioral consequences after cog- nitive closure is achieved. Since its first conceptualization, numerous question- naires have been developed to measure NFCC as a construct, which raises the question of their content validities. This EmPra-Project selected three of the most frequently cited NFCC-questionnaires in contemporary literature and vali- dated the items based on a computerized questionnaire with a moderate sam- ple size (N = 80). A mixed ANOVA analysis revealed statistically significant dif- ferences between the answer tendencies of all three questionnaires (F(2, 158)=83.49)
