Pictures of SMT-A Pictures of SMT-B Pictures of SMT-K Overview of all pictures Description Subject of the SMT-project is a differential neuropsychological diagnosis of planning deficits of patients with frontal lobe lesions on theoretical foundation. We propose to conceptualize the diagnosis of planning ability as a diagnosis of schema availability. Further the proposed approach differs in two aspects from classical conceptions: (a) the material are not texts but video scenes; we expect higher reliability and thus higher validity of the diagnosis. (b) 'planning ability' (see Funke & Fritz, 1995) is conceptually divided into plan control, diagnosis of failure, and detection of sequences. With experimental comparisons between patients with frontal lobe lesions and different control groups the project tries to bring together knowledge of the three subjects cognitive psychology, neuropsychology and psychological diagnosis.
